MELISSA CLIFFORD-Bob and I moved to the P.V. Bay Club in 2004, after living in PVE for 20 years where we raised our son. Our family enjoyed many happy years sailing to Catalina Island and swimming in the blue Pacific. As Southern California natives, Palos Verdes has provided the best of country and city life. We made great friends and enjoyed community participation over the years. May you all enjoy this paradise for many more years to come and count your blessings, as we have, every beautiful day.
STEVE MACHARDY (Director-at-Large) - I have been an owner/resident in the Palos Verdes Bay Club since March 2003 and elected Board Member since January 2014. It's the residents that make this place so special.
LYNN GILL (Treasurer) - Lynn and Sheri Gill have enjoyed living at the Bay Club since May 2019. Sheri was looking for just the right unit for over 10 years, so the two of us attended dozens of open houses. We finally found an abode we both like, and we have never been happier! Sheri and I both enjoy serving as volunteers with community or in her case national organizations. For me it was non-profit boards including the Peninsula Symphony, South Coast Botanic Garden Foundation, Palos Verdes Beach and Athletic Club, Caballeros del Rancho Palos Verdes; and various committees in Rolling Hills. At PVBC I raised my hand to help with CC&Rs reinstatement, and was talked into running for the board where I have served as Secretary and now Treasurer. My paid working career was as an engineer working on the Apollo spacecraft and Saturn II rocket, a business school professor at USC, and a management consultant with global firms such as KPMG Peat Marwick. Sheri and I have two daughters and a son and four grandsons. We are blessed to be sharing this beautiful community by the ocean!
MARK ARTUSIO (Secretary) - My family moved to Palos Verdes when I was four years old and I lived here until I left for college. I spent my adult life realizing the Abalone Cove area has the finest views and best outdoor atmosphere in all of Los Angeles County. I was so happy to get back to paradise when I moved into the Bay Club, in 2017.
CLAY WHITE (Director-at-Large) - Clay White joined the PVBC Board in 2019 and is honored to serve our community. Clay received his PH.D. from USC in Sociology and, after a stint as a Research Analyst, he and his wife started Media 360, a communications research and consulting firm. Clay and his wife Sandra moved here in 2018 after raising their two children in nearby Lunada Bay. Today both kids are happily beginning their chosen careers and I no longer have to worry handling all the landscaping and leaving the house all alone when we travel, which we love to do!
PAUL MERICLE (Director-at-Large)After graduating from UCLA in 1987, I founded Altamira Construction in 1990 and ran a successful General Contracting business for the next twenty four years. I am currently employed as a Building Inspector by the City of Redondo Beach. My family moved to Palos Verdes in 1965. It is a wonderful location and I am truly blessed to be able to call this place my home.
